The week-long festival sees a total of 28 races take place, culminating with the iconic Gold Cup on Friday. Tuesday’s opening day highlight is the 2 miles and ½ furlong Unibet Champion Hurdle, with JP McManus-owned Epatante the current favourite in the 16-horse field.

Cheltenham Festival 2020 – where and when

This year the Cheltenham Festival runs from Tuesday, March 10 for four days until the Cheltenham Gold Cup race on the afternoon of Friday, March 13. Coverage starts daily at 1pm GMT. The main event – the Gold Cup Steeple Chase – takes place on Friday at 3.30pm GMT.
